📍 SY25-26 Facility Update (5/2025)

The MECCA Business Learning Institute Public Charter School (MBLI) will open for the 2025–2026 school year at a temporary facility of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), located at 7000 Radnor Road, Bethesda, MD. This site will serve as our initial school location while development continues on MBLI’s permanent campus in Germantown. MBLI will transition to the permanent facility during the winter break of the 2025–2026 school year.

We have been working diligently to secure and prepare our permanent Germantown campus for an opening in the fall. However, due to factors beyond our direct control, the construction timeline has been adjusted. While we had hoped to begin the year in our permanent home, we are grateful for the opportunity to launch at the Radnor Road facility, which allows us to move forward with our mission and welcome our founding students on schedule.

MBLI will provide transportation to the temporary site, with specific details regarding routes to be shared with families of enrolled students in July.

MBLI Permanent Facility at Goldenrod Lane

We are pleased to share that the MECCA Business Learning Institute (MBLI) Public Charter School – Montgomery County will be located at 20261 Goldenrod Lane in Germantown. This facility will serve as the permanent home for our innovative, business-focused middle and high school, dedicated to cultivating the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, and problem-solvers.

Years in the Making: A Facility Secured Through Determination and Commitment

While we fully recognize that it is the responsibility of charter school operators to secure their own facilities, we want to acknowledge the extraordinary effort this has required. For several years, we have worked in earnest to identify, secure, and prepare a suitable space for MBLI to thrive, without the benefit of coordinated support or infrastructure from Montgomery County Public Schools.

Despite the challenges, our commitment to families has never wavered. We have persevered because we believe deeply in our mission and because our students deserve access to a high-quality, future-ready learning environment.

From Data Lab to Learning Hub

Previously the site of a data analytics firm, the Goldenrod Lane building will be transformed into a dynamic educational space designed to inspire creativity, collaboration, and real-world learning. The facility will be tailored to support MBLI’s unique approach to education, blending rigorous academics with hands-on business learning and community leadership development.
